This is my detailed look at what’s on this Christmas in Lincolnshire 2020. Find the best pantomimes, where to meet Santa and other great events across this county in the East Midlands. If I’ve missed anything please do comment below. We are so lucky to have such a great range of attractions in Lincolnshire with such great things to do over Christmas.

Sadly due to the Covid 19 pandemic a lot of the events that I listed last year are cancelled in 2020. For the purpose of future events I have kept these in this post but I have mentioned if they are cancelled.

Please also note that with an ongoing situation it is essential to check the cancellation policies of these events and to ring ahead before you visit.

Baytree Garden Centre – Spalding – Not going ahead for now

One of the best Winter wonderlands and Grottos in the UK. Christmas at Baytree garden centre in Spalding has displays of decorations and lights that are envied far and wide. It now boasts a staggering 26,000 square feet of undercover area.

This event has not yet been confirmed or cancelled.

Belton House – Grantham – Event still going ahead

Following last year’s success, surround yourself with sparkle this Christmas as the after-dark trail lights up for 2020. You’ll find new moments to share with friends and family – brand new bright lights for winter nights. Enter a world festooned with seasonal cheer enhanced by a soundtrack of festive classics and wander beneath unique tree canopies drenched in Christmas colour. Various dates from 27th November until 3rd January. Prebooking is essential.

Blackfriars Theatre, Boston

No pantomime for 2020

Bransby Horses, near Lincoln – Event still going ahead

Pudding’s Christmas miracle – Share with friends and family the seasonal cheer of Bransby Pudding, which reflects a typical story of a Bransby rescue horse with a Christmas twist. Soak up the magical festivities in our beautiful surroundings while celebrating and supporting the welfare work the charity has delivered for over 50 years.

Visitors will be able to enjoy this magical Christmas experience exclusively while listening to the story of Pudding’s Christmas miracle. Having a truly magical time, why not indulge in a steamy hot chocolate or mulled wine from our café?

(I’m not entirely sure what this entails)

Brigg Garden Centre – Remaining Open

Their huge Christmas decoration shop is now open. They are also hoping to have a Santa Grotto this year. More info once it’s hopefully up and running.

Burghley House, Stamford

Christmas fair – I am currently assuming that this has been cancelled for 2020.

Butlins, near Skegness – Will have to remain closed

Join us throughout December on a variety of breaks as we dial up the festivities with exclusive live Christmas shows and activities for all ages. Whether it’s seeing a festive show, sitting down to eat together or wrapping up for a wander along the beach on Christmas Eve, whatever you decide to do on your break with us, we’re sure the whole family will leave feeling sparkly on the outside and warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway – Event Cancelled

Experience a magical return journey to Lapland Central, tuck into seasonal treats and take part in festive activities! Guests meet Santa in his beautiful grotto and receive a quality gift! Pre-booking is essential. 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th and 19th – 24th December 2020.

Doddington Hall, near Lincoln – Event Cancelled

Christmas at Doddington – The Hall will once again be transformed for the festive period and decorated throughout for the theme ‘Secret Gardens’. Inspired by our walled and wild gardens, we’ll be bringing the outdoors in to create spectacular scenes for a magical family day out.

Decorations throughout the Hall are largely handmade using material that’s grown or produced on the Doddington Estate. Take a look at the photos from previous years to get a flavour of Christmas at Doddington. 21 NOVEMBER – 23 DECEMBER. OPEN DAILY, 10AM-4PM. Entry must be pre-booked.

Embassy Theatre, Skegness

There will be no pantomime at the Embassy Theatre in 2020.

Grimsby Auditorium – Event Cancelled

Snow White – Announcing Grimsby Auditorium’s deliciously wicked pantomime, the fairest of them all SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS! A Magic mirror, an ugly truth told to an evil step-mother, a poisoned red apple and a beautiful enchanted Princess all come together with seven little men to tell the magical story of SNOW WHITE…. Tickets on sale now. From 10th – 30th December.

Guildhall Grantham

There is no pantomime at the Guildhall in 2020.

Lincoln Castle Illuminated – Event Cancelled

Enjoy spectacular views across the City throughout each evening and soak up the festive atmosphere within the Castle grounds. Lincoln Castle Illuminated will offer families and friends some much needed fairytale, festive sparkle with this beautiful and special Christmas experience.

Walk through displays of Christmas lights and Christmas tree lined pathways. Enjoy a hot chocolate within the Castle’s festive grounds. Make those last minute Christmas purchases from the Castle’s shop and don’t forget to bring along your Christmas wishes for Father Christmas who will be visiting each evening.

Lincoln Christmas Market

The 2020 Lincoln Christmas Market has been cancelled.

Lincoln City Centre

Reindeer Parade – Sadly this has also been cancelled for 2020.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park

No Christmas event has been announced for 2020.

Lincolnshire Wolds Railway

No Santa Specials have been announced for 2020.

Riverhead theatre, Louth

The 2020 pantomime has been cancelled.

Market Rasen Racecourse – Event Cancelled

Rand Farm Boxing day at the races – It’s as traditional as turkey and tinsel… Since 1946 folk have been enjoying Boxing Day at Market Rasen Racecourse. Be part of the tradition…

The atmosphere and cheers are electric throughout the day as following The Lincolnshire National we air the 2nd most prestigious chase race in England, The King George VI Chase is played on the big screen for everyone to see! Get the whole family out for THE BEST Lincolnshire Christmas day out! 26th December 2020. Tickets are on sale now.

New Theatre Royal, Lincoln – Not going ahead

A final decision on the Christmas Pantomime ‘Beauty and the Beast’, will be made and announced to the public on Monday 12th October 2020.

Pink Pig Farm, Scunthorpe – Event Cancelled

Christmas – Magical woodland Christmas in Scunthorpe, north Lincolnshire. Santa is visiting his woodland grotto. Come for a great day out with the kids. Families get to meet the man himself in our spacious grotto and receive a quality present. Our funny elves will ensure all children have a great time this Christmas. Sat, Dec 5, 20209:00 AM  Thu, Dec 24, 20205:00 PM.

Rand Farm, near Market Rasen – Event Cancelled

Tickets are now LIVE for Christmas at Rand Farm Park! For your safety, we’ve reduced the number of tickets available so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Included in every Christmas visit; Within the time slot you have booked: Meet Santa in his Grotto. Santa’s Secret Toyshop (present for every child ticket bought). Nutcracker Suite: NEW FOR 2020. Enchanted Forest: NEW FOR 2020. Santa’s Sorting Office: NEW FOR 2020. Meet Real Reindeer. Available throughout the day – Elf Academy. Visit Mrs Claus. Elf Village.

Scunthorpe Theatre

There is to be no pantomime at this theatre in 2020.

Tattershall Castle

No Christmas events have been announced at Tattershall Castle.

Tattershall Farm – Event going ahead

Instead of our usual Woodland Nordic Grotto and a personal meeting with Santa, we are offering a Father Christmas & Friends Parade. On arrival, we give each family a squirt of magic elf sanitiser, get you scanned in and issue wristbands to the children (which you hand in to one of Santa’s helpers when you collect your wrapped Christmas gift. Father Christmas will be pulled on his sleigh by a small vintage tractor.

You’ll see polar bears, penguins and snowmen on your way around the farm and we’ll have a Christmas Unicorn joining in the parade too. You can either bring your own letter for Santa from home and post it, or collect a pen and a letter from us on arrival so you can write your letter while you are with us and then post it. You’ll get to meet Samba and Jazz our Real Reindeer – they always live on our farm, and love it when Santa is staying as they get to dress up with their jingle bells. You will take part in a Candy Cane hunt spread out all over our Farm, and receive a small treat if you solve the clues. Santa’s Helpers will be handing out the Christmas gifts this year.

Woodthorpe Garden centre, Alford

There will be no Santa Grotto in 2020 but you can still see all their lovely Christmas decorations.
