14 + Best Easter Things To Do East Yorkshire 2021

Welcome to our what’s on – things to do – a guide for Easter in the East Riding of Yorkshire, 2021. Please check with the attractions that they are open and their events are running before you leave home. This is our ultimate guide to the best events or places to take kids, make sure you bookmark this page so that you can keep checking back.

The government’s road map currently permits gardens to be open. However, attractions with animals and theme parks (outdoor rides) aren’t permitted to open until the 12th of April (all going well, this is subject to change). From the 29th of March, the Stay at Home order ends. This means people will be free to go outdoors for non-essential reasons with the recommendation to stay local. Most of East Yorkshire has two weeks off school for Easter from the 29th March to the 9th April 2021. Below you will find ideas on where to visit/where will be open.

If you have an event or an attraction that you would like included please do get in touch. If you would like a larger, more detailed, event/attraction listing including photos please see this post. I also offer Facebook advertising to my large engaged audience.

Things to do Easter East Yorkshire 2021

To avoid disappointment please pre-book as many places will still have limited tickets available. One thing we are certainly permitted to do is to go for a walk. For ideas on where to go for a family-friendly walk in Yorkshire please check out this post – 70+ Family Friendly Walks in Yorkshire

Burnby Hall Gardens

When open? Currently, open
Address: 33 The Balk, Pocklington, York YO42 2QF
A Bit About – The highlight of a visit is feeding the fish. Make sure you buy plenty of pots of fish food (expensive at £1.20 a pot) but we kept going back for more as it was so much fun. There must be thousands of young fish in the lake that all want feeding and will virtually clamber over each other with their mouths open waiting to be fed. Plus the lake they live in is beautiful and soon to be covered in lilies once again. FIND OUT MORE

Flamborough Head

When? Always open
Address: Lighthouse Rd, Bridlington YO15 1AR
A Bit About – The cliffs surrounding Flamborough head are stunning and you can enjoy great views in either direction. This is also a good place to spot wild sea birds nesting on the cliffs. If you can make the steep walk down to Flamborough’s north beach (at Flamborough head) it is a beach worth visiting. You will need to check the tide times though. When the tide is out there are mini caves and rock pools. There are a lot of steps down and back up again though, but it is worth it. The lighthouse will be shut. FIND OUT MORE
