This is a round-up post for events this Halloween 2020 in the South West, for October half=term. I’ve found events in all of the counties and there are plenty of ideas to keep you busy..

Adventure Wonderland – Half-term Halloween Fun – Dorset
Adventure Wonderland is opened into a world of spooks and skellys with some fangtastic events!
Spooky Halloween Show “The Cheshire Cat’s Pumpkin Party” in the Happydrome Theatre.

Back by popular demand, our Live action Scary Maze “Into the Woods” Our giant hedge maze transforms into a family friendly, scary maze. Watch out for giant spiders, be careful of the cobwebs and lots of hidden spooks!

How much? You can currently only visit as a half day pass. These are £12 for anyone 3 and over. 2 years £6, under 2 free. Other pricing options are available. Free for members. Everyone must prebook a ticket online.
American Museum & Gardens – Spooktober – Somerset
Wander round the Winding Way on our spooky A to Zee Halloween trail, and discover a whole alphabet of scariness. £3 per child includes prize. Normal admission applies. Last trail available at 4pm. Some content may be unsuitable for young children. Adult discretion advised.

How much? An adult all access ticket is £10, child 5-17 £7.50, family ticket £22.50. Cheaper options are available. The trail is £3 per child.

Avon Valley Park – Pumpkin Patch – Somerset
Roam through the massive pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin. Don’t want to get muddy? Choose a pumpkin from our tabletop areas inside the event site. (Pumpkins are priced depending on size.)
Find the Golden Pumpkin! Hidden within a pumpkin is a ticket to win an £800 pumpkin necklace!
Entertainment – Enjoy the pumpkin patch with, fair rides, Pumpkin Paintball, Pumpkin Slingshot and much more! Taste & Treats – Snack on a variety of options from local food vendors, warm up with a mug of hot chocolate or an adult beverage!
Avon Valley

How much? £3pp Children Under 2 not walking are FREE. Tickets to the Pumpkin Patch do not give you access to Avon Valley Park, these can be purchased separately.
Bishop’s Palace – Half-Term Family Trail – Somerset
Get the family out and about to explore the Palace Gardens with our “Squirrels and Leaves” Half Term Family Trail.
Pick up a trail from the Shop or download from their website, and head off on an autumn adventure! Don’t forget to explore the myths and legends of the Palace in a super fun way, by visiting The Dragon’s Lair.

Camel Creek – Halloween – Cornwall
Halloweek at Camel Creek is back and with some very special guests for 2020! It’s already been a strange year, but things are about to get stranger at Camel Creek as we open for the Half Term with many Spooktacular attractions – including the Monster Minions who will be visiting us on the 26th & 27th October.

Cattle Country Farm Park – Pumpkin Patch – Gloucestershire
We’ve got thousands of home-grown pumpkins to pick!
Entry to our Pumpkin Patch is included in your Cattle Country entrance ticket, or you can enter our Pumpkin Patch only for £2.50 per person. Pumpkins are priced by size*.
So grab your wellies, and a wheelbarrow and pick your perfect pumpkin at Cattle Country. Plus check out our Pumpkin Patch photo booth for the ultimate autumn family photo!

Farmer Palmers – Halloween – Dorset
*Event may run differently in 2020* Cauldrons full of family fun! The whole farm park has a spooky makeover and the team are transformed into our entertaining ‘Boo Crew’. Dressing up and getting into the ‘spirit’ of things is highly encouraged. We are hoping to bring you our (very popular) “Spook and Soak” Tractor Ride again this year . . . prepare for water guns, giggling ghouls, and squeals of surprises!

Ferne Animal Sanctuary – Halloween Festival – Somerset
We have a some treats in store for all of the family, including activities and competitions and a very spooky sanctuary to enjoy! Come along and get involved with our Black Cats and Bats Trail and why not enter our Scarecrow Competition for a chance of winning some brilliant prizes!

Flambards – Spooky Pumpkin Trail – Cornwall
Families can take to the cobbled streets of Flambards’ Victorian Village and hunt high and low through the 50 different sets and scenes to complete the spooky pumpkin trail quiz. Successfully completed trails can be exchanged for wickedly wonderful chocolate treats.
Budding detectives can also have a go at completing the Who Dunnit Mystery Trail to discover which of the village’s colourful cast of characters committed the crime.
On your eerie adventure, immerse yourself in perfectly-preserved shops filled with thousands of 19th-century artefacts, as you are transported back in time.

Hope Nature Centre – Trick or Treat Trail – Wiltshire
Help our resident Witch make her next potion! Explore our Animal Park and find all the missing potion ingredients on her map. If you find them all, she may be nice and even give you a treat.

Noah’s Ark Zoo – Pumpkin Fest – Somerset
At the zoo, one of our groups of animals have been up to mischief and hidden our pumpkins in the wrong places! Take part in our Pumpkin Mystery trail to find out who’s responsible and enter our competition for the chance to win a family ticket for four and an adoption. *Trail can be downloaded online from their website.
During your visit, why not head up to the Farm Shop and purchase your very own, homegrown pumpkin, to take home.

The Big Sheep – Halloween Fun by Day – Devon
Join us this Halloween for a family day filled with fun and laughter. Carve your own pumpkin to take home while stocks last, then try your hand at the witches flying school. Challenge the family to spot all the friendly spooks and beasties as you take a ride on the ghost train. With our rampage roller coaster, all-weather play barn with slides tunnels and ball pits (time limitations apply), your little ones will be spookily entertained all day.
