20 Ultimate Walt Disney World Dining Bucket List | Best Places to Eat | Themed

Walt Disney World is full of themed restaurants and character dining. Today I am bringing you my ultimate bucket list to Walt Disney World restaurants. It is strongly recommended to make a reservation in advance for all of these restaurants. For most of them bookings in advance are essential. To make sure you dine at a time you want booking should be made as soon as possible. Which is 180 days in advance for anyone regardless of where they are staying. So where are the best places to eat for an extra special experience across the 4 main parks and Disney springs? Read on to find out.

The Best Themed Restaurants at Walt Disney World

EPCOT

 

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall – Epcot

Casual character Dining with Disney Princesses and friends in a medieval castle. Characters you can expect to meet are – Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Princess Aurora and Ariel. The characters mingle between tables during the meal for photographs and autographs. The food is a buffet and they have three sittings – Breakfast 8am – 11:10am. Lunch – 11:55am – 3:30pm. Dinner – 4:55pm – 8:35pm. Some dining plans are accepted. Prices from $35.00 to $59.99 per adult. Click here for menus. The restaurant is located in Norway in the World Showcase at Epcot.

Coral Reef – Epcot

A la carte unique/themed dining. Tables are set on tiered levels beside an extremely large fish tank/wall. You can expect to see tropical fish, sharks, sting rays, groupers and sometimes a scuba diving Mickey Mouse. The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. They have two services. Lunch 11:30am – 3:30pm and Dinner 3:45pm – 9:00pm. Some dining plans are accepted. Garden Grill – Epcot

Character Dining with Disney characters. This is a rotating restaurant with buffet food. Characters you can meet are Chip N’ Dale and they have other characters that come along aswell such as Mickey Mouse and Pluto. The characters mingle between tables during the meal for photographs and autographs. They have three sittings. Breakfast 8:00am – 10:30am. Lunch 11:30am – 3:00pm. Dinner 4:00pm – 8:30pm. Some dining plans are accepted. The prices range from $35.00-$59.99 per adult depending on your sitting. Click here for menus. The restaurant is located within Epcot’s Future World in the Land Pavillion.

Restaurant Marrakesh – Epcot

Unique / themed dining. “Feast on such Moroccan delicacies as roast lamb, shish kebab, couscous and brochette of chicken. Stained-glass chandeliers bathe diners in a warm, dim glow, all while intricate tile mosaics evoke timeless majesty.” The cuisine is Moroccan / Mediterranean. The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. They have two sittings. Lunch – 11:30am – 3:15pm. Dinner – 3:30pm – 9:00pm. Some dining plans are accepted. San Angel Inn Restaurante – Epcot

A La Carte unique / themed dining. “Dine in perpetual twilight at this Mexican restaurant, modeled after a 17th-century hacienda at the base of Mayan ruins”. The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. They even have a section on the menu just for healthy choices. They have two services. Lunch – 11:30am – 4:00pm. Dinner – 4:30pm – 9:00pm. Be Our Guest – Magic Kingdom

Quick service breakfast or lunch or a sit down dinner. Dine inside the beast’s enchanted castle with three rooms to choose from. “The Grand Ballroom – Go for baroque in this magnificent ballroom with its high, domed ceiling, chandeliers and snow-laced Gothic arches. The West Wing – Dine in the Beast’s mysterious West Wing study and perhaps you’ll even spy his enchanted rose. The Castle Gallery – Get swept up in the romance of Belle’s private library, and inspired by the larger-than-life figures of Belle and Beast dancing.” They have three services. Cinderella’s Royal Table – Magic Kingdom

Character Dining with Disney Princesses. Fine/Signature Dining, young children are encouraged to dress up for the occasion. However, this is not essential. Characters you can expect to meet are – Ariel, Cinderella, Princess Aurora, Princess Jasmine and Snow White (not all are guaranteed for one sitting). The characters mingle between tables during the meal for photographs and autographs. The food is served to your table and the price is fixed however there is a choice of things to eat. Some dining plans are accepted. They have three sittings. Breakfast – 8:00am – 10:15am. Lunch – 11:40am – 2:50pm. Dinner – 4:00pm – 9:50pm. This is a one of a kind fairytale dining experience. Expect stained glass windows, medieval flags and stone archways.

The Crystal Palace – Magic Kingdom

Character dining with Winnie the Pooh and friends serving buffet food. Characters you can expect to meet are – Winnie the Pooh, Eyeore, Tigger and Piglet. The characters mingle between tables during the meal for photographs and autographs. “Inspired by Victorian greenhouses of the late 1800s, The Crystal Palace brims with light, topiaries and tropical palms” If you are British like me it’s hard to get past the name as in the UK Crystal Palace is a football team! They have three sittings. Some dining plans are accepted. Breakfast – 8:00am – 10:45am. Lunch – 11:40am – 2:50pm. Dinner – 4:00pm – 9:50pm. Prices per adult are $15.00 – $34.99 or $35.00-59.99 per adult depending on your sitting. Click here for menus. Sci-Fi Dine-in Theatre Restaurant – Hollywood Studios

A La Carte unique / themed dining. Dine in a 1950’s style outdoor (but is actually indoor) movie theatre. Be seated in a car to eat your meal and watch sci-fi movie clips and cartoons.  The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. They have two services. Lunch – 11:00am – 3:55pm. Dinner – 4:00pm – 9:30pm. Some dining plans are accepted. The prices range from $15 to $34.99 per adult. Click here for menus. Hollywood and Vine – Hollywood Studios

Character dining with Disney Junior characters at a buffet breakfast. Or Minnie and friends at seasonal dining parties. Characters you can meet at the Disney Junior breakfast are Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, Jake from Disney Junior’s “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” and Roadster Racer Goofy. Not all characters are guaranteed. Minnie’s lunch and dinner seasonal parties also include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy. Again not all characters are guaranteed. he characters mingle between tables during the meal for photographs and autographs.

Unique / themed dining. “Classic American comfort food,’50s kitsch and a good old-fashioned family gathering take you back to a bygone era. It’s a blast from the past when you walk into this all-American eatery themed like Mom’s kitchen.”  The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. Unique/themed dining. This is a dinosaur themed cafe with animated dinosaurs, sound effects and a meteor shower every few minutes. This restaurant is themed like never before with large moving dinosaurs, a big wooly mammoth, gigantic octopus, fish tanks and much more. There’s themed areas and you are able to wander around so you don’t have to worry about missing it all. The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. Unique/themed dining. This is a rainforest themed cafe with a restaurant at both Disney Springs and Animal Kingdom. You can sit and eat in a tropical rainforest with animated animals and realistic sounds amongst lush vegetation including waterfalls. The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. They have two services. Lunch 11:00am – 4:55pm and Dinner 5:00pm – 10:35pm. Some dining plans are accepted. Fine/Signature dining located on the waterfront in Disney Springs. “Set sail for upscale waterfront dining at Disney Springs—complete with retro dream boats, from vintage American Amphicars to romantic Italian Water Taxis. ” The menu for this restaurant is vast not just in choice but range of price. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. They have two services. Lunch 11:00am – 3:55pm and Dinner 4:00pm – 11:00pm. Some dining plans are accepted. Yak and Yeti Restaurant – Animal Kingdom

Unique/themed dining. This is a Pan Asian restaurant in Animal Kingdom. It is set out like a Napalese village house with various Asian artefacts. The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. There is a large extensive menu. They have two services. Lunch 11:00am – 3:30pm and Dinner 4:00pm – 9:00pm. Some dining plans are accepted. Character dining buffet style with Safari Donald Duck and fruends. Other characters you can expect to meet (but aren’t all guaranteed) are Daisy, Goofy and Mickey mouse. The restaurant itself is themed on a Harambe market.The characters mingle between tables during the meal for photographs and autographs. Some dining plans are accepted. Breakfast is from 8:00am – 10:55 am. Lunch – 11:00am – 3:30pm. Dinner – 3:35pm – 8:00pm. Prices per adult are $35 – $59.99 per adult depending on your sitting. Click here for menus.. Unique/themed dining. This is an African themed restaurant with flavours from Africa and India. It is situated next to the Savanna at Kidani and some of the tables enjoy a view of the animals on the Savanna. You could be watching gazelles, zebras, giraffes, kudu, ostriches, cranes and more as you dine. The food is from a choice of 3 courses. You can have as many or as few courses as you wish. They have three services. Breakfast 7:00am – 10:00am. Lunch 11:30am – 3:00pm and Dinner 5:00pm – 9:30pm. Some dining plans are accepted. The prices range from $15.00 – $34.99 per adult. Character Dining with Disney characters with buffet food. Characters you can meet are Mickey Mouse plus they have other characters that come along aswell such as Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto. The characters mingle between tables during the meal for photographs and autographs. You are not guaranteed all of these characters for one sitting. They have three sittings. Breakfast 7:00am – 11:15am. Lunch 11:30am – 2:30pm. Dinner 5:00pm – 9:30pm. Some dining plans are accepted. The prices range from $64.00-72.00 per adult depending on where you sit. Click here for menus.. The restaurant is located within Disney’s Contemporary resort.

 

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review – Fort Wilderness Resort

Dinner show with entertainment as well as food. “Join the Pioneer Hall Players for 2 hours of rousing Wild West dancing, singing and zany vaudeville comedy. Get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet, sing along and have a good ol’ time at rustic Pioneer Hall.” They have three sittings. 4:15pm, 6:15pm and 8:30pm. Some dining plans are accepted. The prices range from $35.00-$59.99 per adult depending on your sitting. “Chow down on buckets of all-you-care-to-enjoy fried chicken and smoked BBQ pork ribs, as well as a tossed green salad, baked beans, fresh-baked cornbread and strawberry shortcake”. The Pioneer Hall is located not far from the boat dock at the Fort Wilderness resort.

Spirit of Aloha dinner show – Polynesian Resort

Dinner show with entertainment as well as food. “Enjoy an enchanting luau with Polynesian dancing and an all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style feast. Celebrate the spirit of aloha with spellbinding dancers, drummers and a show-stopping fire-knife performer..” They have two sittings. 5:15pm and 8:15pm. Some dining plans are accepted. The price is over $60 per adult.. “Settle in for platters of authentic Aloha pulled pork, Polynesian ribs, roasted chicken and a vegetable medley. Savor fresh salad with mixed greens and ginger-lime dressing—and then polish your meal off by indulging in pineapple-coconut guava cake with chocolate crunch!”. The Spirit of Aloha dinner show is located at Disney’s Polynesian resort.
