Not all facilities are things to do are available all year round. Plus goat walking, tractor rides and lamb feeding in season.

Lincoln Cathedral – Did you know they now have these great backpacks for kids that you can borrow for no extra cost during your visit? They have them for different age groups and my son loved the swan themed backback complete with cuddly swan, safari hat, binoculars, magnifying glass and a series of coloured panels. Plus booklets with a series of tasks and challenges

Lincolnshire aviation heritage centre – Exhibits some interactive, WWII memorabilia, Lancaster Bomber Just Jane, countless rooms and buildings with exhibits. Closed on Sundays.

Rushmoor country park – Animals that you can feed, small playground, bird displays, small animal handling, pony rides.

Skegness Aquarium – It’s a lovely place to spend an hour or two but it is quite expensive considering the size. It is what you make it though and the more time you spend looking in the tanks and getting involved in crafts, talks and feeding times the more you will get out of a visit.

Springfields – JCB Young Drivers Zone, Treetop nets, Panning for gold, sand and water play, miniature railway, Dino golf.

Village church farm – This is a free attraction on the outskirts of Skegness. It is Lincolnshire’s only open air museum. There is plenty to see and do there and they hold some great events throughout most of the year. They have a collection of Lincolnshire buildings which include a Grade II Listed Georgian Farmhouse which is decorated and furnished to a Victorian era.

Whisby Nature park – Outdoor sand and water play, zip wire, climbing towers, walks around the lakes. Indoors wooden adventure play.

Woodside animal park – Tropical house, a wobbly bridge over crocodiles, unusual animal show, bird display, animal handling, tiger feeding, other interesting animals, small playground.
