Halloween in Orlando 2019 means all kinds of spook-filled events, shows and parties for the family to enjoy. Universal Studios Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights are having an 80s theme this year, with highlights including ten haunted houses to explore, based on popular films and TV series, as well as five scare zones and all kinds of terrifying street experiences. Many regular rides will remain open, but watch out for spooks and zombies riding alongside you. Halloween Horror Nights are not recommended for children under 13.
Scares for All the Family
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World Resort will have special character appearances, parades, parties and fireworks, and children are encouraged to dress in costume and trick-or-treat through the park for snacks.
At SeaWorld’s family-friendly Halloween in Orlando 2019, expect a Sesame Street Halloween Parade featuring fantastic floats, as well as trick-or-treating and a Halloween Dance Party. Grown-ups may enjoy Seaworld’s Craft Beer Festival with more than 100 craft brews to try.
During the last two weeks of October, ‘Gators, Ghosts and Goblins’ at Gatorland will offer spooky themed areas, ghoulish actors and selfie zones, as well as themed food and drinks.
Ideal for Younger Kids
‘Brick or Treat’ at Legoland Florida Resort takes place every weekend in October, with child-friendly celebrations such as collecting candy on the Brick-or-Treat Trail, Lego-building activities and a scavenger hunt. Expect larger-than-life Lego Halloween characters, fireworks and decorations, with themed foods adding to the fun. If you want to continue the Halloween party, Orlando has plenty of other events outside the theme parks. On Halloween itself, head to Old Town, where children can take part in the annual costume contest, and all the fairground attractions and regular events will be in full swing.
Hardened Horror For Grown-Ups
For more hardened horror, Old Town’s Mortem Manor will be filled with live actors, animatronics and state-of-the-art special effects, and for an extreme horror experience, you can even be buried alive at The Last Ride burial simulator.
American Ghost Adventures continue the Halloween party, Orlando, with the ‘Spirits With Spirits’ haunted pub tour and the ‘Dining With the Departed’ meal in a haunted restaurant.
Dark Horizon: Point of No Return is held at Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites and features three haunted house mazes, hundreds of monsters and plenty of festive fare.
