Kids Car Play and Snack Tray – Review & Giveaway

Update – this giveaway is now closed. Thank you to everyone who entered. The winner can be found below. If you would like to purchase this item or find out more about it please read on below.

There is one place that Jamie spends a lot of his time and that’s the car. He’s never been the best traveller. When he was really little if he wasn’t asleep he was crying and having a tantrum about goodness knows what. Now he’s older and he can speak his mind he gets impatient and barrages us with ‘Are we nearly there yet’? ‘How long until we are there’? etc. You get the idea I’m sure.

I had to look at ways to keep him entertained. A soft toy just wasn’t going to cut it anymore. I went on the look out for a tray table. First I bought a plastic one. It arrived broken and it was clear it was never going to fit over his car seat properly. Then I came across this great product –A kids car snack and play tray. What a fabulous idea. It is made of durable, sturdy yet flexible enough materials.

We were sent the kids tray to review and you can be in with a chance of relieving your kids boredom by winning your own tray table in my giveaway. At the end of my review you will find the rafflecopter entry box. Good luck! If you don’t win then you can purchase the item here –

The Kids Car Snack & Play Tray

The tray table itself is flat with a sturdy base. It has four pockets, 2 either side, for your kids bits and bobs. Think small toys, colouring, water bottle and snacks. There is a strap for going around the child’s car seat to secure the table.

The table lays flat on your child’s lap and there is a connecting buckle either side so you can thread it through the back of their car seat and this then attaches to the table. This means the table can’t fall off their lap while you are driving. It also means you can unclip one side and simply swing it around to allow the child out of the seat with no fiddling about.

As well as the handy pockets for kids to take out what they want when they want it the table has 3 high sides to stop anything sliding off and being lost on the floor. It was a really good fit on Jamie’s large car seat and during our drive testing the product he didn’t lose anything he was playing with. This would make it a great place for them to have their snacks too.

The product is waterproof and could also be used on strollers, planes, high chairs etc.

Further product information –

  • Durable, soft foam reinforcement, waterproof
  • Fits most booster seats
  • Materials: Nylon, Foam and Polyester
  • Includes 2 side pockets and flexible 3.25-inch wall stop
  • Tray measures approx. 15 inches across and 12 inches deep

You can see from the photos below Jamie loved using this tray. He even asked for it this morning on our 5 minute drive to school. We would not be without this now. It’s taken away all the stresses of driving.

  1. We tend to give caitlin who is 4 a few different snacks. Mostly organix goodies range. Her favourite is the crispy bars. We always have a few different snacks in the bag because you never know what she’s in the mood for.
Other snacks we give her are:
Flavoured rice cakes, raisins, date bars, oaty bars and sometimes a small pot of sweets ?

  2. Something that doesn’t make too much mess! Probably carrot sticks because they take ages for them to eat as well!

  3. I wouldn’t give them anything spillable or smearable! and not sweets because of sticky fingers! yes ok I am not fun!! I would give them a bento box of mixed dried fruit , cheese cubes , and savoury snack biscuits and a few grapes.

  4. something that doesn’t melt, doesn’t crumble, isn’t wet and doesn’t leave grease stains lol!

  5. I always worry about choking so i tend to give snacks that can melt. Crisps like quavers or skips or chopped up strawberries or banana. Mushier an meltier the better!!!!

  6. I don’t like giving mine snacks in the car just because I’m worried about choking hazards but I do allow some soft foods on occasion if it’s a very long trip, usually Skips or Wotsits

  7. I wish the old gob stoppers were still around, as my granddaughter gives a full commentary on everything she does, so this would keep her occupied and the old fashioned gob stopper would keep her queit too. Ha Ha.
Sounds like a great journey to me.
Thank you for the opportunity to win one of these. X

  8. Something easy to eat to prevent choking. I would give Bananas, yoghurt coated raisons, quavers depending on what they wanted at the time 🙂

  9. Boxes of raisins are very handy. Cheese and grapes which should be cut into small pieces to avoid chocking ( usually cut grapes into quarters )

  10. Raisins, crackers, cheese sticks, bananas, hot cross buns, apple slices, tea cakes. We travel up and down the country a lot! lol

  11. Depends how long the car journey is, and if I’m having a super mummy day. So it could range from anything from fruit to a packet of crisps lol

  12. a bag of mixed fruits, A) because they are healthier than sweets and chocolate. B) because of being fresh fruit they will not need to drink as much, so won’t need the toilet every 5 mis

  13. Anything that’s easy for her to manage on her own! Cucumber sticks, crisps (already opened), bread sticks, mini sausages

  14. I would give something easy like crackers or mini cheddars. Nothing that will make them sick!

  15. i try to get them to eat toast before a journey
but two get very bad car sickness so hardly any fluids or runny foods
we do stop for a breather and snacks on long journeys

  16. My girl loves all the lovely fruity things from kiddilicious – totally mess free and good for her, how could I disagree – top of the list would be the strawberry fruity wiggles and the strawberry milkshake melts

  17. A banana – he loves them and it fills his little tummy, and he can usually eat one without dropping bits everywhere.
