Things to do at Moggerhanger Park review
Moggerhanger Park is home to an elegant late 18th Century mansion where you can actually stay the night or get married. But it’s not just a place to stay it’s also a lovely family-friendly place to visit for the day with grounds you can explore, a play area and a cafe.
The house is Grade 1 listed and is set in 33 acres of stylish parkland and woodland. The park hosts a number of popular public events throughout the year. You can also book on house tours for a small fee. These last for around an hour and children are welcome.
The gardens were landscaped by Humphry Repton and they are one of the most complete surviving examples of his work. Entry to the grounds is free. Picnics are not permitted within the park grounds. As well as the beautiful gardens there is a walled garden and also a woodland walk. This is a circular walk that ends back at the car park.
Outside the Garden rooms cafe, you will find an outdoor wooden adventure playground. There is play equipment designed for children 4 years and under plus a fun, larger area for children age 4 to 12 years. Please note due to covid the parkland is yet to reopen to the general public but I am sure they will reopen in 2021.
Covid 19: Due to current restrictions not everything will be open, or it may be open differently to normal, at the attraction that you are visiting. Please consult their social media accounts, give them a call or visit their website if you can’t find the information you are looking for.
