Things to do at Chester Zoo review
Chester Zoo is one of the UK’s biggest zoos located near Chester in Cheshire. The site is vast and there is so much to see and do there. It’s certainly a full day out. There’s a great variety of animals including tigers, elephants, giraffes and lions. Plus an aquarium with a tropical area.
As well as the animals Chester zoo has many different play areas around the zoo. Make sure you pick up a map so that you don’t miss anything. They also have an app to help you make the most out of your day there. This also helps if you want to attend any of their visitor talks.
If you want to slow things down and rest your legs the zoo has a water boat ride around the islands one of the zoos newest attractions. Many visitors talk about the walkthrough bat cave where bats fly above your heads. The zoo is also home to many different kinds of monkeys.
Madagascar is the newest play area at Chester zoo. There is a tree top adventure play area, a sandy beach, water play (you may want to take a change of clothes) and more.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
