Things to do at the Via Ferrata Cornwall review
Via Ferrata near Penryn in Cornwall is an adventure day out with climbing, rope courses, zip-lining and a high wire bridge.
Via Ferrata originated in the Alps during WWI as a climbing route to enable troops to cross mountains. It is climbing like no other with metal steps, suspension bridges and zip wires. It is one of the most adrenaline-filled climbing activities in the world.
At the Cornwall site, you can traverse across their quarry walls, walk across a high wire bridge or leap from the clifftops on their scenic zip line. Families can take part in the Via Ferrata training circuit with the high wire bridge. This is suitable for children age 8 and over. You will be taught the basic skills of Via Ferrata before you face the 70m long high wire bridge with a single strand of wire to cross.
Children from 10 years plus can take part in the full classic experience with 2 quarry zones including the high wire bridge and zip rides. Height restrictions to both adventures also apply.
There is a wild play area for children age 3-10 plus a nature trail for the whole family to enjoy.
