Things to do at Staunton Harold Reservoir review
Staunton Harold Reservoir is a large reservoir managed by Severn Trent Water between Ticknall and Melbourne in Derbyshire (with a small part of the southern shore in Leicestershire). There is an abundance of wildlife at the reservoir and various activities on offer.
You can enjoy a walk around the 210-acre reservoir where there are plenty of ducks and geese so make sure you take some bird-friendly food for them. There is a relatively large waterside play area. Walks range in length and families will appreciate the shorter Snowdrop trail and the Wildflower walk. Longer walks are also available with longer trails to Foremark Reservoir, Calke Abbey and various public footpaths.
There is a sailing club on the reservoir with sailing activities, stand up paddleboarding and windsurfing. Other activities include fishing and bird watching.
