Bicton Park is a botanical garden dating back to the 18th century with formal gardens, greenhouses, a children’s play area indoors and outdoors, a train and a cafe.

There are over 64 acres to explore at the park which is home to many rare and beautiful plant species from all around the world. The greenhouses are themed with a Palm house, Tropical house, Arid house and a Temperate house. There is an arboretum with a bird hide. The Bicton woodland railway runs through the arboretum (small additional charge). Plus there is a countryside museum with lots to see. There is a large exhibition hall with traction engines, vintage machinery, tractors and more.

The gardens are also themed with an Italian garden with a tiered fountain, stone obelisk, smaller fountains and more. There are the American and stream gardens, Mediterranean and rose gardens. Plus kids will love the Fernery and shell house and the Hermitage garden.
