Things to do at Monkey World review
Monkey World is a chimpanzee rescue centre near Wareham in Dorset. They are home to hundreds of monkeys, chimpanzees and lemurs across a 65-acre site. There is also a huge Great Ape Adventure play area. There are more than 250 primates with over 20 different species many of which have suffered abuse or neglect.
Every day at the park they have half-hour keeper talks starting from around lunchtime. You can gain an insight into the personalities and characters of the monkeys and apes. They feed them close to the audience so you can get a closer look. You may even spot some ‘celebrities’ from TV.
The park has three adventure playgrounds at the park including the Great Ape play area. There are climbing frames, cargo nets, swings, slides and more. They also host yearly events. The park is spacious and if you adopt a primate you can enjoy free entry for a year. They can also host your child’s birthday party.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
