Things to do at Burton Agnes Hall review

Burton Agnes Hall is an Elizabethan manor house in the village of Burton Agnes near Driffield. It was built in the early 17th Century and part of the house is open to visitors.

In the grounds in front of the house, there are some lovely walled gardens with a hedged maze and giant board games such as chess. Behind the house, there is a woodland sculpture walk which comes into its own for Halloween. There is also a wonderful new adventure playground with lots to climb and play on including a double zip wire perfect for racing.

The hall has two floors of rooms to explore a lot of which contain the current owner’s collection of art work. English Heritage also maintains an older building next to the house which you can look around and there’s also a church next to the car park which is worth a visit.

Covid 19: Due to current restrictions not everything will be open, or it may be open differently to normal, at the attraction that you are visiting. Please consult their social media accounts, give them a call or visit their website if you can’t find the information you are looking for.
