Things to do at East Park, Hull review
East Park is the biggest park in the City of Hull, located in the southern region of East Yorkshire. It is around 120 acres and has many facilities so it’s somewhere you could easily spend a good few hours.
Not all facilities are open all year round. There is a large main car park and you can also usually park on the road for free. There is a large playground which is always open. This has a great choice of equipment for kids young and old, some of it is relatively new.
Next to the playground you will find the fishing/boating lake. During the summer we hired a swan pedalo and we brought our own food to feed the ducks and the geese. This is where you will find the Wickstead splash boat which is usually open in the summer. There is a toilet block next to the lake and also some musical instruments which you are welcome to play on.
There is an animal centre which you can visit for free (currently you need to prebook a time slot). There sadly weren’t many animals when we visited but not everything was open as normal. It is a small place so you wouldn’t spend very long there. There is even a rock folly in the park called the Khyber Pass.
Other facilities include outdoor gym equipment, fishing, a children’s library and a cafe. They also have extra things to do over the summer including crazy golf, a land train and a few small children’s rides. Plus they usually have a large water play area. 2021 will hopefully see the addition of a new splash pad.
Covid 19: Due to current restrictions not everything will be open, or it may be open differently to normal, at the attraction that you are visiting. Please consult their social media accounts, give them a call or visit their website if you can’t find the information you are looking for.
