Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
Average time spent – 5+ hours if you visit a few attractions.
Things to do at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard review
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is right on the Portsmouth seafront, just along from Gunwharf Quays. It’s a full day of fun and adventure for the whole family. Prices range from £24 to £39 depending on what you want to do and if you plan on going back another day.
Just walking around the dockyard will show you what they have to offer. It’s almost impossible to do it all in one day. We always start with a look around HMS Victory which blows our mind. The ship is as it would have been in 1759 and gives you a real feel of what it would have been like for those living on the ship.
You can view The Mary Rose from the viewing platform and really take in it’s history. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard has everything from interactive museums to keep the kids amused to detailed harbour tours for those who really want to dig down deep into naval history.
All the dockyard is accessible. You really can spend all day here and keep coming back and discovering more. For a full list of attractions please follow this link.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
