Things to do at River Hamble Country Park review
River Hamble Country Park is a 356 acre local nature reserve. It is a place to play, walk and explore with a network of well-surfaced trails allowing easy exploration of the park. Within the park you will find Manor Farm, this is a paid attraction and a visit takes a good 2-3 hours. The three main areas to the country park are Barnfield, Topfield and Manor Farm.
Barnfield is the stretch of the River Hamble and the site of the Grace Dieu shipwreck. There are some natural play areas inspired by the Grace Dieu. You can even go crabbing off the pontoon. If you’ve not brought anything with you then the kiosk at Barnfield should sell all you need. The remains of a WWII camp can also be found at the park. Barnfield has a fun adventure play area with lots of wooden play equipment. There is a wooden tractor, swing, obstacle course, giant swing and more. Waymarked trails can also be found.
Manor Farm is the attraction mentioned above. Topfield has a dog walking field and barbecues for hire but less in the way of things to do.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
