Things to do at Haigh Woodland Park review
Haigh Woodland Park is a large recreation area near Wigan in Greater Manchester. It has hiking trails, a kid’s assault course, play areas, miniature railway, adventure golf, high ropes and golf.
There is a large Adventure Play zone full of swings, climbing frames, rope bridges and seesaws. The park also has a wooden assault course perfect for kids to challenge themselves. Plus there is an 18 hole Adventure mini golf course. There are exciting challenges and obstacles including a viking boat, ancient woodland and animals. Prices are £4-5 for a round. Other pricing options are available. You can even have a go at foot golf at £5.50-6.50 a round there are 9 holes to conquer.
There are some beautiful gardens you can walk around with plenty of options on where to walk. They also have a 1/3 mile long track miniature railway with steam and diesel engines. Rides are free with donations welcome. Plus there is a 15″ miniature gauge railway with 3/4 mile track through woodland. These rides are £1 each and the trains are pulled by a diesel engine.
There are two High Rope courses at Haigh Woodland Park. There is a low ropes course with 9 aerial obstacles. Plus a high ropes course with obstacles and a zip wire (prices from £7+). Please contact the venue regarding age and heigh restrictions.
