The Spa Valley Railway is a heritage railway that runs from Royal Tunbridge Wells to High Rocks, Groombridge and Eridge. It is 5.5 miles in length and takes you on a picturesque journey through parts of Kent and Sussex.

Their slogan is “A destination at every station” so you could certainly extend your day out to include other things to do at each stop. At Eridge you will find a delightful country junction station. There is access to some vast and delightful walks through the woods to Harrison’s rock, Forge Farm and Groombridge. There is also a pub at Eridge.

Groombridge is their principle intermediate station. From there you can visit Groombridge Place Gardens and Enchanted Forest and the village itself. There are a couple of country inns and walks to Harrison’s rocks.

The Tunbridge Wells West station has seen visitors since 1606 to experience the Chalbeayte Spring. Today the town is full of elegance and its original charm. This station stops at its western edge just a few minutes walk from the Pantiles. The smallest and most picturesque station is High Rocks. There is a country inn with landscaped gardens.
