Things to do at Elsham Hall Gardens and Country Park review
All the time living in Lincolnshire we never made it to Elsham Hall. I think mostly it was because I just wasn’t sure what was there. There are a few flower and animal photos on their website with little information. Well, what a gem of a place. It’s full of all sorts of interesting and different things with a surprise at nearly every turn.
Elsham Hall can be found near Brigg in North Lincolnshire. Make sure you buy some fish food in the shop. There’s a couple of lakes full of hungry and rather large carp. The geese and ducks are also rather partial to the food. We also found lots of peacocks wandering around which were rather partial to our lunch. Hand feeding peacocks has now been accomplished! We also had a couple of chickens next to us for lunch.
There’s lots of different gardens to explore and in most of these you will find animals such as goats, sheep and even alpacas. Most are very friendly and love to be stroked which is very unusual. There’s also an adventure playground with plenty for kids to play on.
When not in the time of Covid 19 they also hold lots of family-friendly events. The Hall is a private residence and not open to visitors.
Eating – There is a cafe on-site, which is open for hot and cold food and drinks to currently take out. There is another cafe in the courtyard just before where you pay to enter.
