Things to do at Snipe Dales review
Snipe Dales is a country park and nature reserve situated on the southern edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It is maintained by the Lincolnshire Wildlife trust. The valleys of Snipe Dales are fretted by streams and offer wonderful views.
The reserve has one of the few surviving semi-natural wet valley systems. In contrast the country park offers a mix of woodland walks. This diversity is home to a wide range of birds and other wildlife including butterflies and dragonflies. There is a picnic area and toilets.
Snipe Dales has three waymarked trails that can be enjoyed throughout the year. These include a “There and back trail” which is a one mile linear walk. Plus the “Country park trail” a one and a quarter mile circular walk through the country park woodlands and “Snipe Dales round” a three and a half mile circular walk through the reserve.
Not all paths are accessible and some can be wet or muddy so sturdy footwear is advisable. Paths can also be steep in places. Dogs are welcome on the first of these two walks. You can print a trail map out from their website or pick one up from the Warden’s office.
Covid 19: Due to current restrictions not everything will be open, or it may be open differently to normal, at the attraction that you are visiting. Please consult their social media accounts, give them a call or visit their website if you can’t find the information you are looking for.
