Things to do at The Collection Lincoln review
In the heart of Lincoln City centre, you will find the Collection Museum. This is a great hands-on museum perfect for kids. They have a diverse range of objects from Lincolnshire’s early inhabitants including a Plesiosaur from prehistoric times and beyond.
Many different periods in time are displayed in the museum and if it’s not behind a glass cabinet you are encouraged to touch and try many things on. There’s also plenty of hands-on displays where children can piece together a stained glass window, sort archaeological finds and more. There’s even a chance to ‘meet’ early man that once lived in the area and see the remains of a log boat that was found in Fiskerton.
You wouldn’t believe how much they have crammed into the display room. It’s really fascinating and there’s plenty to see. Younger kids will also love Play at the Collection. This is a separate playroom where kids can dress up and act out plays on a stage, do some colouring or chill out with a book. Plus coin rubbing, toys and Playmobil.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
