Things to do at Wolds Wildlife Park review
Located just a short drive out of Horncastle in Lincolnshire you will find a relatively new attraction – Wolds Wildlife Park. I still find it hard to believe there are lions, zebras and all other kinds of exotic animals living near to this sleepy Lincolnshire village.
The owners have a passion for animals and their collection began in 2013 when one of the owners gifted his wife a young female zebra. Many of the animals in their wildlife park have been rehomed from other collections.
The park isn’t huge but it is ever-evolving and with such fantastic animals they are definitely worth supporting and visiting. The most striking thing about the park is the animal’s enclosures. They have created some lovely enclosures for their animals and they bring visitors a lot closer to their animals than most places. It is clear that the animals are very well looked after. They will be expanding to include an education centre, new toilet blocks, a food outlet and a children’s play area.
Other animals you can see include brown bear, leopards, lynx, camels, lemurs and wallabies. Plus monkeys, tapirs, deer, marmoset and more. They also have domestic animals such as llama, alpacas, highland cow, donkeys and more.
Close-up personal experiences can be pre-booked online.
Covid 19: Due to current restrictions not everything will be open, or it may be open differently to normal, at the attraction that you are visiting. Please consult their social media accounts, give them a call or visit their website if you can’t find the information you are looking for.
