Things to do at Bure Valley Railway review
Bure Valley Railway is a heritage railway which runs from Wroxham to Aylsham in Norfolk. The line was first opened in 1880 and today it is run by a team of volunteers.
There are a number of stops along the line and you can also extend your day out by taking a boat ride or cycling. At Aylsham you can explore the local village with quaint shops, cafes and other places to eat. Buxton is another station along the line with a charming medieval church just a short walk from the station. You can also go for a walk along the river and there are local amenities.
The town of Wroxham is a 15 minute walk from the station and this is where you can combine your visit with a boat ride. There are tour boats which have a varied running schedule. A combined ticket is a good option for saving money to take a boat ride and ride on the trains. There are plenty of places to eat in Wroxham.
Brampton is a small village with several walks and is another stop along the line. The other station is Coltishall which several small shops and a number of village pubs.
They host annual family-friendly events.

The Bure Valley Railway has large tarmac surfaced car parks at both it’s Aylsham and Wroxham Station.
