Things to do at RHS Garden Harlow Carr review
These beautiful gardens are located just outside of Harrogate. We visited during the easing of lockdown so not everything was open. The site itself is very large so it was mostly very easy to socially distance from people.
I have been wanting to visit here for so long. The grounds are stunning and well cared for. I can recommend visiting in Spring or Summer when most of the flowers will be in bloom. My favourite part was the stream running through the middle. It’s so pretty with it’s bridges and gorgeous flowers.
There are a few different areas such as a woodland, kitchen garden, alpine house, lakeside garden and arboretum. There are a few main paths with then lots of smaller paths you can take and explore. They have three play areas. All three had sections of play still closed with a section of play open again. The areas that were open were more out in the open mini assault courses.
Covid 19 safety measures – You have to prebook online in advance. They are limiting numbers and you must book a time slot. The toilets are every man for themselves which was a shame as I’d like to see a one household in/one household out system. There was some hand sanitiser around the site but not as much as some places. They have extra staff just to make sure you are queueing apart from each other.
