Things to do at Scarborough Fair Collection and Vintage Transport museum review
On the site of the Flower of May caravan park you will find one of North Yorkshire’s gems the Scarborough fair collection museum. It is one of the most unique museums that we have ever visited. It is located a short drive away from Scarborough and it is a museum of vintage rides, fairground rides and transport of the past. It is all indoors.
You enter the two main halls via a hall of mirrors which is great fun seeing yourselves as different shapes. In the first hall there is the cafe and a large dancefloor plus vintage organs all around the hall. Some of these play music and move every now and then.
In the second hall it is even bigger and split up into three sections. There are a number of rides including a traditional carousel, 20th Century Thriller Noah’s ark which is just fantastic. It’s so fast and completely crazy. There’s a ghost train, Mini Austin car ride, cake walk, Dodgems and a Mini waltzer. All the rides are old classics and certainly vintage.
Other things to see are lots of different vintage vehicles plus even more vintage organs which they play on rotation, a penny arcade which you can purchase real old pennies for and a few other curiosities dotted around the place.
Eating – There is a cafe on-site food and drinks, although the food is limited and is mostly just sandwiches and cakes.
Facilities in brief – A wonderful collection of vintage fairground rides, vehicles, organs and a penny arcade. There are toilets on-site and a cafe.

*Prices are subject to change and/or discounts online. *Cheap at under £8 for an adult and just over £5.00 for a child. It takes it into the mid-range bracket though as you have to pay for the rides which are £1 per person. It is free to park.
