Things to do at York’s Chocolate Story review
Here you can go on a fun guided tour through 3000 years of chocolate history at this indoor attraction in the centre of York. I have honestly never had so much fun learning about something. It’s a really great tour and I never realised how much of our countries chocolate was and is made in York.
You can expect not only to smell wonderful chocolate smells but there are tasting opportunities along the way as well. You are guided through different rooms where you will learn about the history of chocolate through films, exhibitions and displays, some of which are interactive.
You even get to see how chocolate is made from its raw state through to the adding of the sugar. Children are involved as much as possible in the process. You are even taught how to truly taste chocolate. One of the highlights is when you get to make your own chocolate lollipop with a choice of sprinkles. They say that chocolate makes you happy!
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
