Kielder Water and Forest Park is in Kielder, Northumberland. It is home to northern Europe’s largest man-made lake and England’s largest forest. The water park is considered one of Northumberland’s best attractions. It is great for families that love water sports, exploring, walking and cycling.

The park features miles of beautiful trails, including forest walks for all the family and dedicated mountain bike tracks. The Lakeside Way is a 26-mile multi-user trail that is suitable for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users. The trail encircles the shoreline of Kielder Water.

There are three visitor centres, Tower Knowe, Kielder Waterside and Kielder castle. Activities on the water include canoeing, sailing and water skiing. Plus Water Walkers, Sea Scooters and Body Zorbs. Activities on land include archery, crossbows, tomahawk throwing, Crazy carts and Crazy tikes. Other new facilities include a huge bouncing pillow, Segway excursions, Fairy school and more.

The Kielder Zipcoaster mimics the ups, downs, twists and turns of a rollercoaster with a free-flying sensation of a zip wire ride. There is also a high ropes course. They have a range of packages for their outdoor adventure activities.

There is a restaurant and two cafes within the park. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
