Rays Farm Country Matters is a visitor attraction with farm animals, play areas and a Fairytale forest near Chorley in Shropshire.
Rays Farm is somewhere to enjoy a relaxing day out in the Shropshire countryside. They have a range of animals including reindeer, goats, guinea pigs, and birds. Plus donkeys, pigs, rabbits and llamas. There is a unique Wood Sculpture Trail through their ancient woodlands with a challenge to find all of their unique wood carvings. They have two routes to choose from of different lengths. Look out for Humpty Dumpty, dragons, trolls, gnomes and a giant caterpillar, there are over 50 in total.
There is a small indoor animal barn where they have their latest baby animals. There is a choice of play areas to suit all ages. This includes a soft play area for toddlers and outdoor play for older kids. There is a challenging wooden activity trail and a forest play area with den building and climbing ropes.
Another outdoor play area is their sandy mini beach area which is close to their coffee shop. This has buckets, spades and a digger. Regular animal encounters take place throughout the school holidays. Children are encouraged to touch and learn about their different animals.
