Things to do Weston Park Shropshire review
Weston Park is a huge place to explore, and is perfect for families who want to spend the whole day out exploring. There are plenty of things to see and explore. So much so, that you could barely fit them all into one day! But don’t worry you can always come back.
This is one of the most welcoming stately homes and is one that that you can easily get lost in thanks to the free flow basis (there are tours available, however, only on specific days). Walking through the house though, you can experience the newly furnished library with over 3000 books, unique Gobelin tapestries, to the stunning Dining Room, which houses one of the country’s most impressive collections of paintings.
The beauty and tranquility of the House is the result of centuries of creativity, collecting and patronage of artists and craftsmen, by generations of one family, the Bridgemans, Earls of Bradford.
Weston has a team of volunteer guides who will happily enlighten you with information on the treasures of the rooms, as well as offer anecdotes from times gone by. There is plenty for children to explore in the House through a selection of trails. But to make things even more exciting there is plenty for you to do outside the house as well.
You’ve got the Temple Wood, Walled Gardens, Adventure Playground and Miniature Railway all to enjoy outside. Why not go explore the woods and build yourself a den, run along the lengthy pathways or just enjoy some of the breathtaking views that Weston Park has to offer!
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
