Things to do at Tropiquaria Wildlife Park review
Tropiquaria zoo is a wildlife park and aquarium in Washford Cross, Somerset. It is a small tropical house based in a 1930s art deco BBC radio transmitter hall which is now a grade II listed building. The zoo has been on this site since the early 1990s.
The tropical hall has an African theme as well as the outdoor areas and the aquarium. Outside they have animal enclosures in 4 acres of land including two life-size pirate ships and an adventure castle. If that’s not enough there’s also an indoor play castle.
In the aquarium, there are over 40 tanks housing fish and amphibians from around the world. There is also a collection of spiders and creepy crawlies. Built in 2017 there is a Nocturnal house that houses a number of rarely seen animals including one of the smallest primates.
The Tropical hall is situated in the radio transmitter station. They also have up to 4 animal encounters and 8 daily talks around the park. You might be able to hold a lizard or learn more about one of their endangered animals.
They can also host your child’s birthday party.
