Things to do at Claremont Landscape Garden review
Claremont Landscape Garden is a really beautiful National Trust site in Esher, Surrey. It’s easily accessible from around Surrey as well as London and the South East and well worth a visit.
The Grade I Listed garden is beautiful at every time of the year and it’s wonderful to see in the changing seasons. The gardens are situated with a lake in the middle, trees around the edges and paths everywhere to explore.
Claremont Landscape Garden has so many places to sit, so many things to see and even a play area – making it a great place for families to visit. The gardens aren’t suitable for bikes or scooters as some of the paths are pretty steep but there is so much space for children to run around and have an adventure.
As well as the grounds and play area, Claremont Landscape Garden has buildings and sculptures to explore, beautiful Belvedere to see at a distance and a nine pin alley to play at when it’s open.
One of our favourite things about Claremont Landscape Garden are all the places to sit and appreciate the views and tranquility. Sitting on a bench anywhere within the gardens makes you feel like you’re somewhere far removed from civilisation – and not actually pretty close to London and the M25!
Claremont Landscape Garden is a really lovely day out, one where you can lose yourself for a few hours and just enjoy quality time in what feels like the great outdoors. It’s one of our favourite National Trust sites and one we would always recommend.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
