Things to do at Mary Arden’s Farm review
Mary Arden’s Farm is located just a few miles outside of Stratford-upon-Avon. It is a picturesque farm and bigger than we had been expecting. The grounds are also home to Mary Arden’s house which you can visit and also Palmer’s farmhouse within the grounds of the farm. Mary Arden is the mother of William Shakespeare.
What really makes the farm lovely is that a lot of the staff members dress authentically. A visit to Mary Arden’s farm is like stepping back in time. Make sure you check out what is on the day you visit as they have extra activities most days including falconry, goose herding, farmhouse tours and more.
You will find animals at the farm including donkeys, goats, sheep and more. Palmer’s Farmhouse is a fascinating Tudor house and actually much nicer than Mary Arden’s house. In the courtyard, you will find oversize games and a workshop. There is a small playground, a willow tunnel and more paddocks with animals. You can feed these if you have purchased food from their shop.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
