Things to do Royal Shakespeare Theatre RSC Stratford review
The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford, the RSC for short, stands on the River Avon and is one of the main focal points of this medieval market town.
The theatre itself seats just over 1,000 and was upgraded back in 2010. As well as staging performances of William Shakespeare’s world-famous plays they also have many other theatre productions including family-friendly theatre.
There is a tower at the RSC with a lift, or stairs if you desire, up to the top. Once at the top you can enjoy some wonderful views of the town and the river below.
The Play’s the Thing is a family friendly exhibition at the RSC. It celebrates the past years of theatre making and kids can become involved in all things theatre with some great interactive exhibits. It’s a small room but it’s packed with things to do. You can get dressed up in real costumes or even try on virtual costumes. There’s alphabetical theatrical drawers plus many other things to explore and learn about. They also have trails around the exhibition.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
