Things to do at Diggerland Yorkshire review
Diggerland Yorkshire is located in Castleford near Wakefield. It is a relatively small site but there is so much to do there including rides and other great JCB themed attractions.
Some of the rides do have height restrictions of around 80 to 100 cms. Rides include Dig-a-round where you ride in a digger claw, mini Landrovers for kids to drive around a course and mini tractors for the family. Plus Go-karts indoors and outdoors. The outdoor 80cm+ Go-karts are included in the price.
For those not afraid of heights you can sit in a digger arm and reach the dizzying heights of 50 metres. Robots is a really fun ride where kids 110cm and over can drive their very own digger around a track! Safari is an off-road experience in a 4×4 (you are driven around).
There’s also a Diggerland train where adults can ride in a trailer while the kids are pulled along in their own little carriages. You can also ride in a digger cab with a driver and go on a very bouncy ride around in a digger arm.
Other attractions include a series of challenges using digger arms such as knocking down skittles. Driving a digger and stacking old tyres, digging up dirt with digger arms and driving dumper trucks. We bottled out of the spin dizzy ride that looked far too bouncy for us (this is their most ‘extreme’ ride). Plus even more fun things to do. There is an indoor soft play but we didn’t venture inside.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places now require you to pre-book online in advance.
