Things to do at Longleat Safari Park review
Longleat is the home of the 7th Marquis of Bath and his family. It has been open to the public for the last 70 years but is more well known these days for its huge safari and wildlife park.
In the African village at the park, you can see a lookout point over some of the wildlife, a conservation zone and an African themed walkway ending in a baobab tree. You can walk through the lemur enclosure and then jump back in your car to go through the Longleat Safari or if you don’t have a car you can take the safari bus. (this is also good if you don’t want to risk driving your car through the monkey enclosure).
Other animals you can expect to see on the safari include camels, oryx and deer which you can feed from your car. You even get to drive through the lion enclosure. The safari can take up to 2 hours. After the safari why not visit the house itself. The rooms are exquisite. More animals can also be found in the jungle kingdom. Longleat is home to the only Koalas in the UK.
Also at Longleat, there is a boat trip around the lake where you can see their gorilla colony and sealions which may swim up to the boat. There is also a railway and adventure castle playground. Plus the UK’s largest hedge maze.
